Emotional support

Life can be challenging sometimes and with the added pressures of completing a Master's or PhD course can be very taxing on our emotional and physical well-being. 

It is important to remember to take care of ourselves:

  • Be kind.
  • Reward yourself.
  • Most importantly, talk. If you are experiencing strain, talk to a friend, family or community member.
  • The University of Pretoria also has a Student Support Centre where you can seek help. Do not suffer in silence. 
  • The Postgraduate Support Hub is another avenue of assistance.
